Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 19, 2026. This page describes the current offline-first implementation of Orbia.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Orbia handles information when you use the Orbia mobile application.
2. Information You Create
Orbia may store moment titles, optional notes, selected dates, moment types, favorite status, saved status, and creation dates that you choose to enter.
3. Local Storage
The current core version of Orbia is designed as an offline-first application. Core moment information is stored locally on your device using application storage.
4. How Your Information Is Used
Saved information is used to display countdowns, calculate days remaining or days since a moment, organize upcoming and past moments, perform search, and display saved and favorite views.
5. Accounts
The current core version does not require an Orbia account, username, password, phone number, or email address to use its main features.
6. Search
Search is performed against your locally stored moment titles, notes, and moment types.
7. Favorites and Saved Moments
Favorite and saved states are stored so Orbia can provide dedicated views and a distinct appearance for favorite moments.
8. Archive
When a saved date passes, Orbia can display that moment in the archive and calculate the number of days since the date.
9. Device Permissions
The current core implementation does not require access to contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or your photo library for its main functionality.
10. Notifications
The current core implementation described by this policy does not require notification access. If reminders or push notifications are introduced later, this policy should be updated before release.
11. Analytics, Advertising and Tracking
The current core implementation does not require third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics SDKs. This policy should be updated if any such services are added.
12. Data Sharing and Sale
Orbia does not sell or rent the locally stored moment information used by the current core application. The current core implementation does not intentionally transmit your saved moments to unrelated third parties.
13. Third-Party Services
Future releases may introduce external services such as cloud sync, crash reporting, analytics, or other SDKs. If that happens, the policy should be updated to describe those services and their data practices.
14. Data Retention
Moment information generally remains in local application storage until you delete it, clear the application's data, reset the device, or uninstall Orbia.
15. Deleting Information
Orbia provides functionality to delete moments. Clearing application storage or uninstalling Orbia may also remove locally stored information.
16. Device Backups
Operating-system or device backup features may copy application data independently of Orbia. Those backup systems are controlled by the device platform or user settings.
17. Security
We use reasonable application-design practices for the information handled by Orbia, but no device or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
18. Children's Privacy
Orbia is a general-purpose countdown and personal moments utility. Its current core functionality does not knowingly require children to submit personal contact information or create an online account.
19. International Users
Your device settings, operating system, backup configuration, and applicable local laws may affect the handling of locally stored application information.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy as Orbia changes, new features are introduced, or legal requirements evolve. The current version should be made available on this page.
