Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 13, 2026. This page explains how Latera handles locally stored saved-item information and application preferences.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Latera handles information when you use the Latera mobile application.
2. Offline-First Design
Latera is designed as an offline-first application. Core saved items, categories, favorites, completion status, and settings can be stored and used locally on your device.
3. Information You Add
You may enter item titles, notes, categories, favorites, status information, and other details about things you want to remember for later.
4. Local Storage
Core Latera information may be stored locally on your device using application storage. The core experience does not require cloud storage or an online account.
5. Accounts and Contact Information
The core version of Latera does not require a username, password, phone number, email address, or user profile.
6. How Information Is Used
Information you enter is used to display your Later stack, organize categories, restore favorites, power the Shuffle feature, track completed items, and preserve app settings.
7. Shuffle Feature
Latera's Shuffle feature selects from items already stored in your app. The selection is intended only to help resurface saved content and does not send your saved items to an external recommendation service in the core implementation.
8. Device Permissions
The core version of Latera should not require access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or photos. If future features require permissions, this Privacy Policy should be updated accordingly.
9. Data Sharing and Sale
Latera does not sell or rent the personal information stored by the core application. Locally stored saved-item information is not intentionally shared with unrelated third parties by the core experience.
10. Analytics and Advertising
The current core implementation does not require third-party analytics or advertising services. If analytics, ads, crash reporting, or similar SDKs are added later, this policy should be updated before release.
11. Third-Party Services
Future versions may include external links, cloud sync, or other third-party services. Those services may be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
12. Data Retention
Locally stored information generally remains on your device until you delete individual items, clear app storage, reset the app, or uninstall Latera.
13. Data Deletion
You can delete individual saved items through Latera. You can also clear application storage or uninstall the app to remove locally stored application data.
14. Data Security
Reasonable design and technical practices are used to protect locally stored application information. No application, device, or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
15. Children's Privacy
Latera is a general lifestyle and personal organization application. The core experience does not knowingly require children to provide personal contact information or create an online account.
16. Sensitive Information
Latera is not intended as a secure vault for passwords, financial credentials, government identifiers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information.
17. International Users
Because core Latera data is stored locally, your device settings, operating system, backups, and local laws may affect how your information is protected and managed.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Latera evolves, legal requirements change, or third-party services are introduced. The latest version should be published on this page.
