Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 22, 2026. This page describes the current offline-first implementation of Kivro.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Kivro handles information when you use the Kivro mobile application.
2. Information You Create
Kivro may store challenge titles, descriptions, categories, durations, favorite status, saved status, challenge state, creation dates, and completion dates that you choose to create or change.
3. Offline-First and Local Storage
The current core version of Kivro is designed as an offline-first application. Core challenge information is stored locally on your device.
4. How Information Is Used
Your information is used to display the challenge deck, search challenges, organize saved and favorite cards, track accepted, completed, and skipped challenges, generate local progress statistics, and restore your data between sessions.
5. Accounts
The current core Kivro experience does not require you to create an account or provide a username, password, phone number, or email address.
6. Search
Search is performed against locally stored challenge titles, descriptions, and categories.
7. Favorites
Favorite status is stored locally so Kivro can visually distinguish favorite cards and make them easier to revisit.
8. Saved Challenges
Saved status is stored locally to provide a dedicated collection of challenge cards you want to keep for later.
9. Challenge Progress
Kivro may store whether a challenge is fresh, accepted, completed, or skipped, together with completion dates where applicable.
10. Custom Challenges
If you create a custom challenge, the title, description, category, and duration you enter are stored locally as part of the app's challenge library.
11. Random Shuffle
The Shuffle feature selects from locally stored eligible challenge cards. The current core implementation does not send your challenge library to an external recommendation system.
12. Device Permissions
The current core implementation does not require access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or photo library for its main features.
13. Notifications
The current core implementation does not require notification access. If reminders or notifications are introduced later, this policy should be updated before release.
14. Analytics, Advertising and Tracking
The current core implementation does not require third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics SDKs. This policy should be updated if those services are added.
15. Data Sharing and Sale
Kivro does not sell or rent the locally stored challenge information used by the current core application. The current core implementation does not intentionally transmit your challenge data to unrelated third parties.
16. Third-Party Services
Future versions may introduce external services such as cloud sync, crash reporting, analytics, ads, or other SDKs. If that happens, this policy should be updated to explain those services and their data practices.
17. Data Retention
Locally stored challenge information generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear application data, reset the device, or uninstall Kivro.
18. Data Deletion
Kivro provides challenge deletion functionality. Clearing application storage or uninstalling Kivro may also remove locally stored information.
19. Device Backups
Operating-system or device backup features may copy application data independently of Kivro. Those backup systems are controlled by your device platform or settings.
20. Security
Reasonable application-design practices are used for information handled by Kivro, but no device, application, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
21. Children's Privacy
Kivro is a general lifestyle and personal challenge application. Its current core functionality does not knowingly require children to provide personal contact information or create an online account.
22. Safety and Personal Responsibility
Challenges are intended as general lifestyle suggestions. You are responsible for deciding whether a challenge is appropriate for your circumstances, environment, age, abilities, and safety.
23. International Users
Device settings, operating systems, backup configurations, and applicable local laws may affect how locally stored application information is handled.
24. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy as Kivro evolves, new features are introduced, or legal requirements change. The latest version should be published on this page.
