Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 18, 2026. This policy describes the current offline-first Recora implementation.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Recora handles information when you use the Recora mobile application.
2. Information You Add
Recora may store record titles, saved values, categories, optional notes, favorite status, and other information you choose to enter.
3. Offline-First and Local Storage
The current core version of Recora is designed to store records locally on your device. An online account or cloud storage is not required for the core experience.
4. How Information Is Used
Your information is used to display your personal records, organize them by category, search saved details, show favorites, and restore your library between app sessions.
5. Accounts
The current core Recora experience does not require you to create an account or provide a username, password, phone number, or email address.
6. Search
Search is performed against information stored in your Recora library so you can find record titles, values, notes, and categories.
7. Device Permissions
The current core implementation does not require access to contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or photos. If future versions add features requiring permissions, this policy should be updated before release.
8. Photos and Attachments
The current core implementation does not include photo, document, or file attachments. If those features are introduced later, this policy should explain how files and permissions are handled.
9. Sensitive Information
Recora is intended for practical everyday reference information. Avoid storing passwords, payment-card numbers, authentication secrets, government identifiers, medical records, or other highly sensitive data.
10. Analytics, Advertising and Tracking
The current core implementation does not require third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. This policy should be updated if those services are introduced.
11. Data Sharing and Sale
Recora does not sell or rent the locally stored information used by the core application. The current core implementation does not intentionally transmit your saved records to unrelated third parties.
12. Third-Party Services
Future versions may use external services, cloud sync, analytics, or third-party SDKs. Those services may process information under their own terms and privacy policies, and this policy should be updated accordingly.
13. Data Retention
Locally stored records generally remain on your device until you delete them, clear application storage, reset the application, or uninstall Recora.
14. Data Deletion
You can delete supported records in the application. Clearing Recora's app data or uninstalling the app may also remove locally stored information.
15. Device Backups
Your device or operating system may provide backup and restore features outside Recora's direct control. Those features may affect copies of locally stored application data.
16. Security
Reasonable design and technical practices are used to protect locally stored information, but no application, device, or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
17. Children's Privacy
Recora is a general personal organization utility. The core experience does not knowingly require children to provide personal contact information or create an online account.
18. International Users
Because core Recora data is stored locally, your device settings, operating system, backups, and applicable local laws may affect how information is managed and protected.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Recora evolves, legal requirements change, or new services and features are introduced. The latest version should be published on this page.
