Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 29, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how DareUp handles information when you use the DareUp mobile application.
1. Overview
DareUp is a daily challenge and self-improvement application. We aim to collect
as little personal information as reasonably necessary.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The app may store challenge progress, completed dares, streaks, XP, coins,
levels, achievements, preferences, and related app settings locally on your device.
3. Personal Information
DareUp does not require you to create an account or provide your name, phone
number, address, or other direct identifiers for the core offline experience.
4. Automatically Collected Information
The current app design does not intentionally collect analytics, advertising
identifiers, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or
sensitive personal information.
5. Permissions
DareUp should only request permissions that are needed for features available
in the installed version. You may control app permissions through your device settings.
6. Advertising
The current version does not state that it uses third-party advertising.
If advertising is added later, this policy will be updated before or when that change takes effect.
7. Analytics and Crash Reporting
The current version does not state that it uses third-party analytics or crash-reporting services.
Future versions may introduce such tools, and this policy will be revised accordingly.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not intentionally share app
progress data with third parties in the current offline implementation.
9. Data Retention
Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear app data, uninstall
the app, reset the app, or remove the data through an available in-app feature.
10. Data Deletion
You may delete locally stored information by using any available reset option,
clearing the app's storage in device settings, or uninstalling DareUp.
11. Security
We use reasonable design practices intended to protect app information.
No storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Children's Privacy
DareUp is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the core experience does not require an account, users should still use
the app with appropriate parental guidance where required.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
Future versions may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy
practices are controlled by their own policies, not by DareUp.
14. International Users
Users may access DareUp from different countries. Local laws may provide
additional privacy rights depending on where you live.
15. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction,
deletion, or restriction of personal information. For locally stored app data,
these rights can generally be exercised directly through your device.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or new
services. The effective date at the top will be updated when changes are published.
